Code: ANB2

Description

The IBM i2 Analyst’s Notebook Advanced Analysis & Importing Course will provide students with an advanced level of knowledge to conduct complex analysis and importing using the latest version of Analyst’s Notebook (ANB).

Students will use complex data sets to gain an in-depth understanding of how the advanced analytical capabilities of the software can become a vital tool to support intelligence and investigations.

To support students from all working environments, a range of data sets are used during the course, including people, financial, communication and crime data.

Prerequisites

Students must have attended the IBM i2 Analyst’s Notebook 3-day Core Essentials & Importing Course. Students must also have a satisfactory understanding of Microsoft Windows and Office applications.

Audience

This course is suitable for anyone wishing to learn how to use the advanced functions of the software.

Objectives

  • Complete knowledge assessment of topics covered on Core Essentials & Importing Course
  • Utilise the advanced analysis functions to search and interrogate the chart to identify key entities to support analysis
  • Identify any intelligence gaps and discrepancies in temporal data using Activity View
  • Utilise the Social Network Analysis functions to identify key Entities within a network to support Subject and Network Analysis
  • Design new and apply standard Conditional Formatting Specifications to identify patterns within the data and display potential discrepancies
  • Demonstrate how to add Filters, Histograms and Heat Matrix to display data that can be added to reports and presentations
  • Complete final exercise
